Two New Resources: Launching an ATJ Commission & Hallmarks of Successful Commissions

We’re delighted to roll out two new resource documents, drafted by my colleague Bob Echols.

  1. “Designing and Launching a New ATJ Commission”  is intended for state (and equivalent jurisdiction) leaders who have begun the process of creating a new Commission. It focuses on the basic choices they must make in designing and launching a new Commission, through the initial kick-off.  And a sister publication…
  2. “Hallmarks of Effective ATJ Commissions” captures insights about Commission structure and operations gathered over the past decade from state and national leaders, most recently through a series of meetings and calls convened in 2012-2014 as part of the ABA Access to Justice Commission Expansion Project, as well as reports from recipients of grants through the Expansion Project.

As for ATJ Commission development generally, here’s our full resource library.
